Position Description

Responsible for overseeing, leading, and achieving sales goals for Goodwill of Monocacy Valley and its affiliates. Manages daily store operations, leads the team, and drives business success. Focuses on building, leading, and retaining motivated, high-performing teams of Retail Sales Associates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Execute retail operations plans to meet profit, revenue, and sales goals.
  2. Make decisions related to daily store operations within your area.
  3. Conduct inventory checks and ensure proper reporting.
  4. Reconcile and balance daily paperwork.
  5. Ensure excellent customer service to donors and shoppers.
  6. Handle customer issues and escalate when necessary.
  7. Maintain store cleanliness and appearance.
  8. Assist with transfers between stores as needed.
  9. Oversee daily store maintenance and standards.
  10. Mentor and train team members to ensure standards are met.
  11. Ensure store compliance with security, health, and safety policies.
  12. Perform additional tasks like banking, store support, and training as needed.
  13. Handle complex sales transactions and returns.
  14. Collaborate on store vision and team engagement.
  15. Manage performance, staffing, and development of team members.
  16. Support company culture and values.
  17. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: One-year retail management experience.
  • Required: One-year customer service experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening.
  • Fluent in reading and speaking English.
