Job summary

Eden East is seeking a Hospital Liaison for Edenbrook of Yeadon to develop and manage hospital referrals and admissions growth. You will meet with hospital staff, physicians, and case managers to secure referrals and close admissions.

The role requires travel up to 90% across assigned hospitals, a preferred Bachelor's degree with two years of healthcare sales experience, and proficiency in MS Office. Flexibility for overnight travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; two years’ sales experience in health care is a plus.
• Ability to relate effectively with hospital personnel, residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Meet with potential customers pre-admission to close sales.
• Make calls to hospital social workers, case managers, physicians, administrators, home health and hospice agencies, families and other referral sources.
• Aim to grow hospital referrals and occupancy/quality mix; meet conversion targets.
• Develop referrals from discharge planning, emergency and therapy departments, physicians, case managers, insurers and other sources.
• Travel up to 90% across assigned hospitals and referral sources.
• Must have basic computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Hospital Liaison

• The liaison helps to ensure expectations for quality mix, occupancy rates, conversion ratios, and admission growth.
• Meets with potential customers prior to admission to assist in “closing” the sale as well as obtaining personal like and info that can be used by facility to enhance experience
• Makes sales calls to hospital social workers, case managers, physicians, administrators, home health and hospice agencies, families and other individuals capable of directing referrals
• Demonstrates growth in hospital referrals as demonstrated by an increase of overall occupancy and quality mix in assigned building BUT most importantly will attain goals for conversion rates
• Develops referrals from referral hospital discharge planning departments, emergency and therapy departments, physicians, case managers, insurance companies and other referral sources
• Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two years’ sales experience, preferred in health care services, products, or pharmaceuticals.
• Travel: 90%
• Traveling to/from and within assigned hospitals and referral sources
• Must have good financial and management skills.
• Must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule and occasional overnight travel.
• Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with Hospital personnel, residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff.
• Possess special interest in, and a positive attitude about working with short and long-term care residents and the elderly.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications. Microsoft Office, Excel, E-mail, Outlook, Internet Explorer.
