Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to deliver fast, friendly service and maintain high customer-service standards. The role supports the Customer Service Manager and Assistant Customer Service Manager to maximize sales through excellent service.

Key duties include greeting customers, handling cash accurately, keeping the front-end area neat, and following the Front End Standard Practice Manual. Must be able to stand and operate a cash register with accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use his or her name whenever possible.
• Maintain knowledge of front-end operations including cash reports, deposits and register functions.
• Ensure front end area is neat and presents a professional appearance.
