Job summary

1-800-GOT-JUNK? South Bay is hiring in the San Jose area for a physically fit, customer-focused team member to join our truck teams. You’ll visit customers’ homes or businesses, remove items, and ensure jobs are completed to their satisfaction while helping the team stay on schedule.

You’ll earn $25-$35+ per hour with base pay, profit sharing, daily tips, and bonuses bi-monthly. Benefits include health, dental and vision. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Must be able to talk to people and be personable.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 50lbs+ repeatedly.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Background checks will be done on final candidates.
• No specific degree required; HS diploma typical.

Responsibilities

• WOW customers with exceptional service.
• Remove, load, and sort items for disposal, recycling, or donation.
• Complete each job to customer specifications and upsell services where appropriate.
• Work efficiently with the team to stay on schedule.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and leave a positive final impression.

1-800-GOT-JUNK? is looking for happy, hardworking and physically fit people to join our Truck Teams in the San Jose area. At 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, each day is different from the next. You’ll be matched up with team members and travel around to different areas of the city in our awesome shiny blue trucks! You'll visit our customers’ homes or businesses to take away their unwanted items.

What you'll be doing

• You’ll use your exceptional customer service skills to WOW customers!
• You’ll remove, load, and sort items so we can dispose of, recycle or donate (we’re committed to reducing waste).
• You’ll ensure every job is completed as required and offer opportunities for additional disposal services.
• You’ll work efficiently with the team to stay on schedule.
• You’ll conclude each job leaving customers happy with the great work you've done.

Requirements

• Must be 19+ years (required for insurance purposes)
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be in good physical condition and be able to lift 50lbs + repeatedly
• Must enjoy talking to people and getting into shape.
• Must be articulate, well mannered and have a positive and friendly attitude
• Customer service and or sales experience is a plus
• Background checks will be done on all final candidates
