Job summary

Break Time Convenience Store is seeking energetic Sales Associates to assist customers, process transactions, and perform food prep and store operations. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accurate checkout, friendly service, and clean, well-stocked aisles.

The role includes merchandising, POS use, and collaboration with team members to meet daily goals. Candidates should be at least 18, willing to work flexible hours, and able to lift items up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Friendliness and customer-service orientation in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Ability to perform basic math for change and shift reporting.
• Ability to learn concepts and operate a computer and store systems.
• Food safety training and Food Handler’s Card or equivalent certifications.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand up to nine hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet and thank customers; provide fast, friendly service; conduct accurate transactions; address customer concerns promptly.
• Merchandising and pricing; maintain stocked, clean, fronted, and faced merchandise including cooler items.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, coworkers, and management.
• Work as a team to serve customers while following regulations and store operations.
• Operate point-of-sale and other store technology; perform math for change and shift reports.
• Assist in training new employees on policies and procedures; support loss-control tasks around cash handling and inventory.
• Food preparation following guidelines; ensure correct time/temperatures, cleanliness, and presentation of items.
• Maintain a clean environment; ensure quality, service, cleanliness, and proper product display and storage.
• Adhere to company policies; be prepared to perform other duties as assigned.
