Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Hartford, CT. You will be the face of our service, helping customers with rentals, equipment inspection, and setup. Training is provided, with opportunities to earn bonuses and advance within the company.

The role offers a $17 per hour wage, on-site work at 755 Capitol Ave, with benefits including health insurance, paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan. Prior driving experience is helpful and lifting equipment is required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and maintain equipment on the lot.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered upon employment).
• Drive a forklift (certification offered upon employment).
• Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.
