Job summary

Ziegler Inc. in Des Moines, IA is seeking an accomplished engineer to partner with customers, analyze power system needs, and recommend efficient engine solutions.

You will collaborate with customer engineering teams, assemble technical data for purchasing decisions, and lead field support for OEM integrations and field audits. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of engineering experience, strong electrical knowledge, and a valid driver's license; travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4+ years of engineering experience required.
  • Strong electrical engineering knowledge and mechanical aptitude required.
  • Electrical, Power, Generator or Reciprocating Engine experience strongly preferred.
  • Acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong PC knowledge with MS Office experience.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as key negotiator on all commercial aspects of assigned accounts.
  • Develops or packages 3D drawing packages of the engine and related components for each customer.
  • Leads field support to OEM customers to assist with engine integration.
  • Completes field audits and testing of installed engine installations in OEM equipment.
  • Manages customer engine inventory, forecasts and engine orders.
  • Documents the engine and component specifications required by customers.
  • Monitors and manages Accounts Payable and Receivable to ensure they are current.
  • Up to 25% travel.

Pay

$82,300.00 to $102,900.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
