Join to apply for the Customer Service - Donor Support Technician role at CSL

The Opportunity

Responsible for preparing the donor, donor area, and equipment for the pheresis processors. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager.

The Role

1. Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
2. Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to specific alarms or signals during the process.
3. Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
4. Maintains alertness to any reactions the donor may have during or after the process and notifies appropriate staff.
5. Uses PDA to record incidents such as machine alerts, alarms, volume variances, and adverse events.
6. Links equipment and soft goods used in the process to the donor via PDA.
7. Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
8. Ensures accurate recording of donor data in the electronic system per SOPs.
9. Understands policies related to hyper immune programs if applicable.
10. Maintains a clean work environment and ensures supplies are available. Follows HSE and OSHA policies, promoting safety.
11. Maintains confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
12. May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
13. Bilingual skills may be required as per organization needs.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Your Skills and Experience

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• Minimum of three months’ work experience, preferably in a medical or health provider environment, or equivalent education and experience.
• Basic math skills required.

Working Conditions

• Ability to understand, remember, and follow instructions.
• Must see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
• Ability to stand and walk up to 100% of the time.
• Manual dexterity required for reaching, bending, kneeling.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Fast-paced environment with interruptions.
• Exposure to chemicals, extreme temperatures, blood-borne pathogens.
• Required to wear PPE in certain areas.
• Overtime and extended hours may be required.
