Job description

Join to apply for the Customer Service - Donor Support Technician role at CSL.

The Opportunity

Responsible for preparing the donor, donor area, and equipment for the pheresis processors. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager.

The Role

1. Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
2. Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
3. Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
4. Maintains alertness to any reactions during or after the process and notifies staff as needed.
5. Uses PDA to record incidents, alarms, volume variances, and adverse events.
6. Links equipment and soft goods to the donor using PDA.
7. Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
8. Ensures accurate recording of donor data in the electronic system following SOPs.
9. Understands policies related to hyper immune programs if applicable.
10. Maintains a clean work environment and ensures supplies are available.
11. Follows all HSE and OSHA policies, promoting safety.
12. Maintains confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
13. May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
14. Bilingual skills may be required.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Your Skills And Experience

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• Minimum of three months’ work experience, preferably in a medical or health environment, or equivalent education/experience.
• Basic math skills required.

Working Conditions

• Ability to follow instructions and guidelines.
• Must be able to see, speak with customers, and observe equipment.
• Stand and walk up to 100% of the time.
• Reach, bend, kneel, and manual dexterity required.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Fast-paced environment with interruptions.
• Exposure to chemicals, temperatures, and blood borne pathogens.
• Wearing PPE as required.
• Work overtime and extended hours as needed.
