Job summary

Batteries Plus Bulbs in Asheville, NC is hiring a Customer Service Associate who will also grow as a Phone Repair Technician. You’ll blend friendly in-store support with hands-on troubleshooting to help customers choose the right power, lighting, and device repair solutions.

Your day spans the repair bench and sales floor: battery testing and installation, basic electronics repair, updating orders, and using POS for purchases, returns, and special orders.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, active listening, and customer-first mindset.
• Technical aptitude and practical Troubleshooting skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced Retail Sales setting.
• Able to lift automotive batteries and meet physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-store and phone-based Customer Service and Technical Support
• Perform Battery Testing and Battery Installation (including Automotive Batteries) and support safe recycling
• Complete Device Repair and basic Electronics Repair with careful documentation
• Use Point-of-Sale to process purchases, returns, and special orders accurately
• Offer clear Product Recommendations and helpful add-ons while working as a team
