Job summary

ShopRite in Bottino, NJ is seeking a Customer Service/Courtesy Counter Clerk to deliver a great customer experience. You will scan, price, bag products, handle payments, process refunds, and assist customers with inquiries in a friendly manner.

The role requires standing for long periods, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and a team-oriented approach to daily tasks and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Enter Customer information into database for eligibility of Wakefern programs.
• Understand operation of cash register and follow all cash handling procedures.
• Knowledgeable about the various types of products carried in the store.
• Sort and return items to stock with attention to refrigerated and perishable items.
