Job summary

ShopRite in Bottino, NJ is seeking a Customer Service/Courtesy Clerk to deliver outstanding service at the front end. You will assist customers, manage the checkout area, and help ensure accurate pricing and bagging of products.

The role requires strong communication, basic mathematics, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion. This on-site position offers opportunities to grow with ShopRite’s service priorities and customer-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures.
• Enter customer information into database for Wakefern program eligibility.
• Process customer returns accurately per company policy.
• Answer customer inquiries by phone or in person in a friendly, professional manner.
