Job summary

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. in Virginia Beach seeks a Customer Service professional to support VIPz dedicated service customers. You will monitor cargo, maintain proactive communication, and coordinate with Asia teams for timely responses.

The role involves handling daily customer communications, resolving issues, and managing reports and spreadsheets to align with vessel schedules and delivery instructions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitors VIPz customers cargo using special reports and provide updates to the customer as required.
• Maintains constant line of communication with VIPz customers.
• Receive daily calls to assist VIPz customers.
• Resolves all VIPz customers complaints and problems.
• Downloads excel spreadsheet for VIPz accounts and applies the information to existing spreadsheets according to the vessel schedule.
• Maintains constant line of communication with VIPz customers.
• Works with demurrage team for all demurrage issues for all VIPz customers.
• Sends out arrival notices and bill of ladings upon request, pull reports to confirm that all containers for the DSG/VIP customers are accounted for, and coordinates with DSG/VIP customers for delivery instructions.
• Performs various miscellaneous customer requests.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To provide high quality service to all dedicated service customers (VIPz). To monitor all cargo for Dedicated Service Customers (VIPz) using proactive reports and working closely with the customers, the Strategic Account Managers & the VIPz Asia team located in Hong Kong.

Main Tasks:
