Job summary

Overhead Door Corporation in Sacramento is seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented customer service associate to support daily sales center operations. You will answer calls, process orders, and help with information requests while coordinating with plant departments and drivers.

This role requires basic PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Access, Lotus Notes), the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to learn product and processes.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years Customer Service experience, door industry preferred.
• Attention to detail and problem solving.
• Excellent telephone, written and verbal communication skills while interfacing with all levels of staff and customers.
• Working knowledge of PC's and related software including MS Word, Excel, Access, Lotus Notes, etc.
• Basic math skills required.
• Willingness to learn product and processes.

Responsibilities

• Answering and screening telephone calls and routing to the appropriate person.
• Assist or complete modifications to products and operate fork truck.
• Respond to customer requests for information concerning order tracking, expediting and product availability.
• Perform order entry at both sales invoicing level and request for products from supply plants.
• Notify customers of backorders, credit issues, order availability and information regarding orders.
• Act as a liaison between sales center and plant departments and gather information.
• Process all necessary paperwork for daily sales center operations.
• Delivery responsibilities as required, including driver qualification.
• Assist in unloading and loading vendor and customer vehicles.
• Monitor daily customer LTL shipments including UPS.
• Assist the GM/AGM with inventory controls including cycle counts and loss prevention.
• Other duties as assigned.
