Job summary

ArcBest's ABF Freight is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator in Fort Smith, AR. You will manage shipments, provide tracking updates, handle inquiries via phone, email, and chat, and coordinate with service centers and field teams to resolve issues promptly.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree preferred and under 1 year of customer service or logistics experience, with strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

• Use multiple systems and programs in support of customer needs and expectations.
• Identify customer requirements to generate quotes tailored to their shipping needs.
• Schedule pickup requests and submit rate corrections.
• Create bills of lading (BOL's) and provide shipment-specific documentation.
• Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Job Description

The Customer Service Coordinator is responsible for managing a variety of shipments and addressing customer concerns. This position requires superior customer service skills as well as the efficient utilization of resources including effective customer, service center, and field communication to make decisions that resolve urgent transportation-related scenarios.

Responsibilities

Education

Other Details

Work Hours

• Work hours vary based on scheduling to provide market coverage during business hours generally Monday-Friday, 6:00 am - 7:00pm, with occasional irregular and weekend hours depending on workload.

Travel Requirements

Compensation

• This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
