Job summary

Smart & Final in Santa Clara is seeking a Service Clerk to support customers, maintain carts, and assist with loading purchases at 448 Santa Clara. Starting rate is $19.70 per hour.

Responsibilities include checking prices, stocking shelves, keeping entrances and restrooms clean, and helping customers with their cars. The role requires reading and writing English and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds; prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must read and write English and interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and memos.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain carts and assist customers with purchases and loading into vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelves and assist check stand personnel.
• Return merchandise to shelves, restock aisles, and ensure clean, organized displays.
• Monitor cleanliness of store entrance, restrooms, and general areas throughout the day.
