Kam Wai Dim Sum (Chinatown) is seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist at our retail and hot food counter, serving a diverse community with respect and care. The role involves handling payments, restocking and providing friendly product information in English, with Cantonese or Mandarin as assets.

The position may require shifts at either location, with base pay of $18.25/hr plus average tips totaling about $21.25/hr.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or retail preferred.
• Ability to read Chinese is an asset.
• Fluency in English required; Cantonese/Mandarin assets.

Responsibilities

• Process customer payments on POS.
• Perform store opening/closing procedures.
• Retrieve hot food from dim sum steamer.
• Participate in inventory management and report shortages.
• Handle cash and card transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the store.
