Customer Service Center Rep - Access Center

BayCare is currently seeking a passionate Customer Service Rep dedicated to providing outstanding service to our community. As Tampa Bay's leading multi-specialty group with over 600 providers across 45 specialties and more than 175 outpatient locations in Tampa Bay and west central Florida, we prioritize the health and well-being of our communities.

Position Details
  • Location: Remote, FL
  • Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
  • Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday

The Customer Service Rep is Responsible For
  • Supporting physicians' offices and healthcare teams by scheduling patient appointments, handling inquiries, and coordinating procedures, labs, and referrals.
  • Serving as the initial contact for all BayCare Health System marketing activities and physician referral efforts.
  • Assessing customer needs quickly and accurately.
  • Performing other marketing and non-marketing duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • Active listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task across systems while communicating with customers and documenting interactions
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Capability to handle escalated calls professionally and patiently
  • Typing speed of 40-45 WPM
  • Ability to understand operational concepts and follow procedures using judgment
Preferred Skills
  • Fluent bilingual Spanish-English reading, writing, and speaking skills
  • Knowledge of healthcare and managed care industry
Additional Information

This is a remote, full-time position requiring residence in Florida. Selected candidates will undergo a two-week onsite training in Tampa and Clearwater.

Education
  • Required: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Associate's degree or related qualification
Experience
  • Preferred: 1 year of customer service experience
  • Preferred: 1 year in a call center
  • Preferred: 2 years in healthcare
