Job summary

Kroger is seeking a customer-focused associate at our Cincinnati area store to assist customers and process sales. You will perform cashier duties, maintain checkstand areas, answer phones, and support store operations with a strong emphasis on honesty and safety.

Responsibilities include handling refunds and exchanges, processing payments, and verifying security tags at the point of sale, while promoting company initiatives and maintaining a fast-paced, cooperative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Six months cashier experience for Customer Service Desk.
• Must be at least 18 years old (19 in some states) to sell tobacco.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work weekends, any shift, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Related retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and process sales.
• Perform cashier functions and manage register operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of checkstand area to standards.
• Answer telephones and handle refunds, exchanges, and invoices.
• Provide lottery and other service where applicable.
• Communicate and cooperate with team to meet goals.
• Follow company policies and initiatives.
• Handle price discrepancies and ensure tag deactivation when needed.
• Provide support to customers, including minors and seniors, as required.
