Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Pay Station Clerk to manage the register, assist customers, and maintain a clean, well-stocked dining and shopping area. You will handle various payments, count back change, and ensure a positive customer experience in a fast-paced retail setting.

Training is provided, and employees are expected to follow Hy-Vee policies, maintain hygiene standards, and work collaboratively with the team to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle multiple payment types and operate the register.
• Strong customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide friendly service.
• Operate the cash register and process payments (cash, checks, card, store charges).
• Count back change, issue receipts, and bag merchandise.
• Maintain supplies like silverware, condiments, and cups.
• Refill coffee service area and assist with bussing tables as needed.
• Keep work area clean and sanitize equipment throughout shift.
• Answer phones and assist customers who call.
• Work as a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Take on additional store tasks and projects as assigned.
• Follow Hy-Vee policies and dress standards; report on time.
