Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Cashier to support checkout operations, assist customers, and maintain clean, well-stocked Front End areas. You will handle cash, cards, and checks, follow safety and sanitation rules, and cooperate with team members to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

Responsibilities include accurate scanning, regulatory compliance for alcohol sales, and helping train newer cashiers.

Responsibilities

• Check out groceries efficiently and accurately.
• Uphold regulations on alcohol sales and taxation.
• Follow proper check, ATM, and credit procedures.
• Use proper POS procedures when ringing up items.
• Clean and stock Front End areas and maintain register.
• Follow cash handling procedures and VAT policies.
• Assist in training new Cashier team members.
• Help manage customer flow and reduce wait times.
• Participate in company programs as directed by leadership.
• Arrive on time, groomed, and ready to work; attend trainings.
• Provide excellent customer service and upsell when appropriate.
• Maximize sales through proper prep, storage, and merchandising.
• Follow safety, health, and sanitation procedures.
