Job summary

G&M Oil Company, Inc. seeks an energetic retail associate to deliver exceptional customer service at our Southern California fueling stations and convenience stores. You will handle POS transactions, assist customers, and support daily store operations to ensure a clean, friendly shopping environment.

This role requires strong communication, basic math, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail setting. Availability across all shifts, including evenings and weekends, is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent computer skills with POS systems (PDI Enterprise).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to learn tasks quickly and work with minimal supervision.
• Basic math skills for transactions and balancing cash.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS and cash register with accuracy for all transactions.
• Process credit card payments, coupons, and promotions per policy.
• Verify age for alcohol/tobacco per store rules.
• Assist customers and build relationships to meet sales goals.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; ensure equipment is functional.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in team store promotions.
• Restock shelves and manage inventory accuracy as directed by management.
