Job summary

CareNow, an affiliate of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Customer Service Agent to provide remote support to Urgent Care Centers. You will handle inbound inquiries, verify insurance, assist with Web Check-In, and route calls to the proper departments while maintaining a patient‑centered service mindset.

Responsibilities include researching information in patient records, managing complaints, and coordinating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have high speed internet access.
• Good data entry, typing and multitasking skills.
• Ability to react effectively and calmly in stressful situations.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Scheduled shifts including days, evenings and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from customers routed from CareNow clinics to a centralized queue in a professional, caring manner.
• Provide answers using training and resources; may require research in patients' chart.
• Obtain and evaluate complaints and escalate to the appropriate department as needed.
• Coordinate with internal departments and route calls to appropriate resources (e.g., billing).
• Register Web Check-In patients in EMR when indicated and make outbound calls as needed.
• Provide insurance verification and explain benefits to patients.

We are seeking a Customer Service Agent within the Urgent Care Operations Command Center who will provide remote support to CareNow Urgent Care Centers, allowing the clinic staff to focus on patient care and efficiency.

In this role, you will take inbound calls from customers asking about a wide range of topics.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Respond /Answer incoming calls from customers routed from a CareNow clinic to a centralized queue in professional, caring manner
• Provide customers with answers to questions and inquiries using training and other available resources- may require research in patients' chart
• Obtain and evaluate complaints in an attempt to resolve them. Escalate complaints to appropriate department/person as needed
• Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
• Route inbound calls to the appropriate resources i.e. billing
• Register Web Check-In patients in EMR when indicated
• Make outbound calls to Web Check-In patients as needed
• Insurance verification and explanation of benefits to patients
• Follow-up complicated customer calls when required
