Job summary

Trinity Industries, Inc. is hiring for an Administrative Assistant, Customer Service Operations. The role provides administrative project support to relieve managers of duties; responsibilities include data entry and reporting on research results.

Interacts with personnel at all levels and may handle confidential tasks. You will load instructions, manage records, update production tracking systems, pull approvals, and assist with invoicing to meet monthly goals.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma preferred with 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Must be highly proficient with MS Office Professional Suite (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Must be detail oriented, highly organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possesses excellent grammar, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with time management and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Load work instructions into the information centers and maintain paper and electronic records.
  • Update RailCarRX and TAS production tracking systems.
  • Pull customer approvals, shopping instructions, and scopes of work from TAS.
  • Update car component information in Railinc.
  • Backup to certificate entry in Metal Trace.
  • Create folders for inbound railcars and submit Bills of Lading for outbound railcars.
  • Obtain customer approval and invoice finished product to meet monthly goals.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

The Administrative Assistant provides administrative project or process support to relieve and assist department/plant managers or staff of administrative details and duties. Responsibilities may include general department duties such as data entry, and executing and reporting on research and data analysis projects. Interacts with company personnel at all organizational levels. May be required to perform duties of a critical or confidential nature.

What you will do:
