Job summary

Trinity Industries, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is hiring a Career Equipment Technician. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment, read schematics, and troubleshoot electrical systems to keep our manufacturing lines running.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years’ experience in the related role.
  • GED/High School, technical training or an associate degree are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment (motors, conveyors, mechanical components, electrical wiring).
  • Read blueprints and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 600 V.
  • Follow safety rules and participate in safety initiatives.
  • Assist in ordering replacement parts and supporting production needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Trinity Industries, Inc is hiring a Career Equipment Technician at our Ft. Worth, TX plant.

The Career Equipment Technician position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who doesn’t stray away from a challenge.

As an Equipment Technician at Trinity, you’ll perform preventive maintenance and electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs to production and mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. You’ll determine causes of operating problems, consult schematics, and order replacement parts. The Equipment Technician performs high voltage electrical repairs (e.g. controls, relays) and installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using electrical and electronic test equipment. The technician also lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies production electronic components, parts, switch panels, etc.

What you’ll do:
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyers, mechanical components, or electrical wiring and electrical components for production equipment.
  • Read blueprints.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting / 3 phase / equipment up to 600v.
  • Follow all safety rules and practices.
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:
  • 1-3 years’ experience in related roll.
  • GED/ High School, Technical Training, Associates Degree in related studies are a plus but not required.
  • Basic computer skills desired. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
