Job summary

Trinity Rail in Jonesboro, AR is hiring aSenior Equipment Technician for Night Shift to maintain and repair production equipment, read blueprints, and work across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and pneumatic systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and test machinery while adhering to safety protocols and record-keeping requirements.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, the ability to read blueprints, and comfort with heights.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-4 years of related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • May require working at heights (15 ft or more).

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex repairs on production equipment motors and mechanical components, including basic pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform preventative maintenance on electrical wiring and components.
  • Determine causes of operating problems using schematics and order replacement parts; perform high voltage electrical repairs as needed.
  • Install and repair electrical systems and components of industrial machinery following diagrams and specifications.
  • Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify production electronic components and switch panels.
  • Test new equipment and make minor adjustments as required.
  • Maintain records and follow all safety rules; may participate in safety committees.

TheSenior Equipment Technicianposition is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who doesn’t stray away from a challenge. In this role you will use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including but not limited to plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources and mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Qualifications - External

· Performs complex repairs on production equipment motors and mechanical components including basic pneumatics and hydraulics

  • Troubleshoots electrical problems, performs preventative maintenance and testing on electrical wiring and components
  • Performs preventative maintenanceand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs to production and mechanical equipment, machinery and components.
  • Determines causes of operating problems, consults schematics and orders replacement parts. Performs high voltage electrical repairs (e.g. controls, relays).
  • Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies production electronic components, parts, switch panels etc.
  • May test new equipment, troubleshoot operation, and make minor adjustments to equipment.
  • Maintains and completes all required records.
  • Follows all safety rules and practices.
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.

· High school diploma or a GED equivalent

· Minimum of 2-4 year of related experience

· The ability to read blueprints

· May require working above ground (15 ft. or more)

· Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects; comfortable with heights.

· May require working in narrow or confined work spaces for extended periods of time

· Perform other duties as assigned
