Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring at our Romulus location in Michigan for an outdoor vehicle return associate. You will greet customers, securely collect keys, and verify mileage, fuel levels, and vehicle condition while logging checks into our system.

You will help ensure quick, accurate processing and deliver friendly, professional service to every customer. A valid license and readiness for outdoor work are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to stand, walk, or move throughout the rental lot for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, including outdoors.
• Previous retail or customer service experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers returning rentals; greet, collect keys, and verify mileage and fuel levels.
• Record vehicle condition and check cars into the computer system for turnover.
• Help ensure vehicles are processed promptly with courteous service.

In this role, you'll be a key part of the return process-helping customers move smoothly through their drop-off while ensuring vehicles are accurately checked in and ready for the next rental.

What You'll Do:

In this outdoor role, you will assist customers as they return their rental vehicles. This includes greeting customers, securing keys, recording mileage, fuel levels, and vehicle condition, and checking cars into our computer system. You will also help ensure vehicles are processed efficiently and accurately, all while delivering professional, friendly customer service.

• Must be able to stand, walk, or move throughout the rental lot, enter and exit vehicles for prolonged periods, and drive a variety of vehicles


• Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States


• This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely


• 6 months retail or customer service experience is a bonus
