Job summary

Steuben Foods Inc. is seeking a motivated Customer Quality Service Specialist in Elma, NY.

You will support customer quality, product commercialization, and changes across our food manufacturing operations, serving as the link between customers and internal teams to ensure specifications and quality requirements are met. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in project management or quality roles within food/beverage manufacturing, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel and ERP/SAP systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business, Science, Food Science, Quality, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in project management, quality assurance, customer quality, product commercialization, or related field.
• Food or beverage manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support customer quality requirements, product commercialization, and changes within the food manufacturing operation.
• Coordinate and execute customer quality requirements and audit support, including SQF.
• Communicate with customers via email, phone, and meetings on formulations, specs, and changes.
• Review and approve specification packets and coordinate changes with internal departments.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Business Development, Procurement and others to prep new products for production.
• Coordinate commercialization processes and maintain clear project milestones and deliverables.
• Identify roadblocks and work with teams toward resolution.
• Analyze lab and product data to set/update specification ranges.
• Prepare data summaries, trends, and statistical analyses for internal teams and customers.
• Support manufacturing by ensuring customer formulations and finished-product specs are communicated to production.
• Maintain product models, BOMs, quality specs, and other product information in ERP.
• Support product setup in Protean and SAP; create PERs and commercialization docs.
• Track projects with project management systems; maintain controlled docs and QA records.
• Support traceability and mock recalls as needed.
• Assist with stage-gate activities from pilot to production; participate in customer meetings.
• Prepare commercialization status reports and KPI dashboards.
• Follow all food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety rules.
