Job summary

thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to support production quality and drive continuous improvement within the facility in Hamilton, Ohio.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to ensure quality objectives and PPAP deliverables are met. Applicants should have an Engineering degree and strong experience with ISO 9001/IATF16949, Six Sigma tools, and core quality tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience interfacing with customers and driving improvement activities.
• Ability to investigate quality problems and apply sound technical judgement.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or IATF16949 standards.
• Knowledge of Core Tools: SPC, APQP, FMEA, MSA, Control Plans, PPAP.
• Experience with manufacturing/assembly processes, tooling and equipment.
• Proficiency in statistical software (Minitab/Infinity) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support production quality and drive continuous improvement using ISO 9001/IATF16949 frameworks.
• Interact with customers to drive improvements and ensure products meet expectations.
• Lead 8D/root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Oversee PPAP submissions and safe launch planning for new programs.
• Monitor customer satisfaction via portals and scorecards and coordinate with warranty lab.
• Provide training on quality tools and methodologies to staff and teams.
