Job summary

OmniForce Solutions is assisting a leading manufacturer specializing in advanced composite utility structures, providing lighter, stronger solutions used across North America and 30+ countries. They seek a Customer Quality Engineer to join their team in St.

George, UT. The role focuses on acting as the primary liaison between customers and internal leadership, managing quality issues, and driving Lean/Six Sigma improvements while supporting ISO 9001:2015 audits and supplier quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality management systems.
• Experience with metal, composite products preferred.
• Customer-facing or supplier quality experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, Minitab, or control chart experience a plus.
• Strong communication, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary quality liaison between customers and internal leadership.
• Manage customer complaints, returns, and quality cases from review to resolution.
• Lead 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone investigations.
• Communicate corrective action findings and progress to customers.
• Prepare 8D reports and corrective action reports.
• Interpret customer drawings and technical specifications.
• Investigate manufacturing and field product issues.
• Analyze returns, warranty claims, and defect data.
• Support ISO 9001:2015 audits.
• Develop customer-specific inspection and test plans.
• Participate in first article inspections for new customers and variations.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and SQE on quality issues.
• Maintain quality records and documentation.
