Avenue Logistics, a fast-growing freight brokerage, is seeking a Customer Operations Executive in Des Moines, IA. You will manage daily shipment operations, build and track freight, and provide proactive updates to customers in a high-volume book of business.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, excel in fast-paced environments, and demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills while handling multiple moving pieces with accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of operations or account management experience at a freight brokerage preferred.
• Experience managing high shipment volume.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems.
• Ability to build and track shipments and keep customers updated.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily shipment operations across multiple customer accounts
• Build, schedule, and track freight shipments
• Monitor and manage 100+ pickups and deliveries per day
• Troubleshoot delays, appointment changes, and service issues
• Provide consistent updates and support to customers throughout the shipment lifecycle
