Job summary

Watershed, a Learning Analytics Platform, seeks a technically strong Customer Implementation Engineer to join its Technical Watershed product team, handling customer-facing support and services responsibilities. Fully remote role based in the US or UK, with majority US business hours and occasional international

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on programming experience (Python, REST APIs, data wrangling, software automation).
• 3+ years in a client-facing role implementing SaaS software, data science, analytics or reporting tools.
• Proficiency in SQL/MySQL.

Responsibilities

• Build connections between Watershed and client systems and configure Watershed to meet client goals.
• Develop data pipelines, API integrations, and scripts to manage data connections.
• Analyze complex data sets with Watershed's reporting platform and build dashboards.
• Consult with clients on goals, share best practices, and help build learning data ecosystems.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with the technology team on product changes.
• Automate workflows and develop deployment processes using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Contribute updates to Watershed's core product when appropriate.
• Represent Watershed publicly, build relationships with clients and partners, identify expansion opportunities.
• Train clients on effective use of Watershed.

Position Summary

Watershed, a Learning Analytics Platform reporting into PeopleFluent, is seeking a technically strong Customer Implementation Engineer to join its Technical Watershed product team, with customer-facing support and services responsibilities. This role uses data and code to drive customer success with data-driven Watershed solutions, bridging the gap between clients' data challenges and Watershed's platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build connections between Watershed and client systems, configuring Watershed to meet each client's goals
• Build and maintain data pipelines and API integrations, and write scripts to manage data connections to Watershed
• Use Watershed's flexible reporting platform to analyze complex data sets and build dashboards and reports for clients
• Consult with clients on their goals, share best practices, and help clients build out their learning data ecosystems
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting, working closely with the technology team to influence product changes
• Automate repetitive technical workflows and develop deployment workflows using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Occasionally contribute updates to Watershed's core product
• Serve as a public-facing representative, building client and industry partner relationships and identifying expansion opportunities
• Train clients on how to use Watershed effectively

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on programming experience, ideally including Python, REST APIs, data wrangling, and software automation tools, plus 3+ years in a client-facing role implementing SaaS software, data science, analytics, or reporting tools, and proficiency in SQL/MySQL.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with learning data, xAPI, SCORM, and JSON; familiarity with corporate learning ecosystems and Jenkins/CI/CD automation is a plus.

Other Requirements

Fully remote, open to candidates based in the US or UK; preferred working hours cover the majority of the US business day, with occasional international travel for implementations, team onsites, and training.
