Job summary

The Children’s Place in Cabazon, CA is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will provide excellent customer service, apply product knowledge, and use effective selling techniques to meet daily targets.

You will maintain merchandise presentation, replenishment, and appropriate sizing while keeping the store and backroom neat and safe. Commitment to schedule flexibility and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent customer engagement.
• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in team environment.
• Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, overnights, evenings, and call-in shifts.
• Maneuver on sales floor and stockroom; climb ladder, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency, prioritizing assisting customers.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Explain value and promotions and offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and promote The PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow merchandise presentation, signage, and display standards.
• Maintain a neat, clean stockroom and a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard.
• Guard assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and facility needs promptly.
• Contribute to store goals and adapt to seasonal priorities.
• Process stock when needed to meet store demands.
