Job summary

The Children's Place in El Centro, CA is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will model excellent customer service, share product knowledge, and use effective selling techniques to meet targets.

You’ll help maintain presentations, stock levels, and a clean store and backroom while embracing a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings. Prior retail experience is preferred and you must be 18 or older.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 18 years old.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency.
• Greet and acknowledge customers with appropriate service.
• Explain value and promotions, offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Resolve customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to support conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly cashwrap service and educate on The PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure size/style representation.
• Follow merchandise presentation, signage, and display standards.
• Keep a neat, clean stockroom and a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard.
• Help maintain loss prevention procedures and protect assets.
• Inform leadership promptly about maintenance and safety needs.
• Contribute to store goals with focused efforts.
• Process stock flexibly as needed.
