Job summary

Freudenberg Group is seeking a customer-facing engineer to build strong relationships, present product capabilities, and deliver practical solutions from concept through production launch.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering, quality, and operations teams, travel domestically to support customers, and continuously learn new products and industry trends to drive innovation and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent technical experience.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new products, applications, and technologies.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with a genuine interest in working directly with customers.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of projects and driving results with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and curiosity to investigate challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Interest or experience in customer-facing engineering, technical sales, applications engineering, manufacturing, or product development environments.
• Willingness to travel domestically to support customers and business development activities.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with customers to understand their challenges and develop technical solutions that create long-term value.
• Partner with sales teams to identify growth opportunities, support business development efforts, and help win new business.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor by presenting product capabilities, application recommendations, and solution proposals to customers.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and commercial teams to deliver customer-focused solutions from concept through production launch.
• Investigate technical challenges, analyze root causes, and drive effective solutions that strengthen customer satisfaction.
• Support customer visits, technical reviews, product demonstrations, and application discussions both virtually and onsite.
• Continuously learn new products, technologies, and industry trends while identifying opportunities for innovation and business growth.
