Job summary

Goodwill Tenneva is seeking a friendly retail associate to provide outstanding customer and donor service, greet guests, and handle cash at the POS. You’ll support opening/closing procedures and prepare daily deposits.

You'll work in various store areas, assist with merchandising, and help train teammates when needed. A 1-year retail or customer service background, basic computer skills, and a reliable, flexible schedule including weekends are required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in retail or customer service.
• Basic computer and POS skills.
• Reliable, professional and able to take initiative.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule including weekends; able to handle cash and deposits.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for bank deposits if needed.
• Able to stand, bend and lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer and donor service with a friendly greeting and thanks.
• Operate the cash register and POS system accurately and efficiently.
• Support store leadership with opening/closing procedures.
• Prepare and verify daily cash settlements and bank deposits.
• Work in various store areas: receiving, tagging, pricing, processing donations, stocking, and merchandising.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas on the floor and back of house.
• Assist with merchandising, displays, and inventory levels.
• Help train and guide team members when the Team Lead or Assistant Team Lead is absent.
• Follow safety, security, and payment procedures per company policies.
