Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a Retail Associate to create memorable in-store experiences through friendly customer interaction, product recommendations, and brand-aligned service. You will help shoppers find the right gear and answer questions about features and availability.

You will also support visual merchandising, handle cash transactions, and assist with merchandise flow, while embracing company values of teamwork and exceptional service to drive store success.

Qualifications

• No specific education required; HS Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years or less experience in a position or specialization.
• Experience operating POS and inventory systems.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and issues regarding product features, benefits, and availability; engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
• Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety; retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations.
• Perform cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges, loyalty program) accurately and efficiently.
• Contribute to store profitability by receiving, handling, replenishing, and processing inventory flow.
