Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to serve customers, stock merchandise, and maintain plan-o-grams while protecting company assets. You will unload shipments, build displays, and keep the selling floor organized for a fast-paced environment.

You will operate the cash register, process transactions, assist shoppers, and support ordering and stocking as needed. A high school diploma is preferred; safety, teamwork, and reliability are valued in our neighborhood stores.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Good communication and safety awareness.
• Ability to follow plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance.
• Cash handling knowledge.
• Basic math skills.
• Experience with IBM cash registers.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; store merchandise or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock and rotate merchandise on shelves; restock as needed.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner; total and bag purchases; collect payment.
