Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the customer contact, assist in restocking, merchandising, and maintaining plan-o-grams, while protecting assets. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, greet customers, operate the checkout, and help set up displays.

This role requires basic math, cash handling, and the ability to follow company policies. A high school diploma is preferred. The environment is fast-paced with lifting up to 40 pounds, and relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and receive/unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise in the stock room or on the sales floor.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays; restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise; greet customers.
• Operate cash register/flatbed scanner; itemize and total purchases; bag merchandise and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Clean front end, sidewalks, stockroom; comply with company policies.
