Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as a customer contact, maintain plan-o-grams, and stock merchandise while protecting company assets. You will greet customers, assist with locating items, and manage cash register transactions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, building displays, and ensuring store cleanliness. Prior retail experience and basic math skills are beneficial, with a high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and basic math skills.
• Ability to operate IBM cash registers.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, unpack, and store merchandise; move to sales floor.
• Build and stock displays; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register, bag items, and collect payment.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners.
• Keep front end clean and tidy and set up sidewalk displays.
