Job summary

Goodwill Manasota, Inc. is seeking a friendly Cashier to greet customers and operate the POS with accuracy. You will encourage participation in Change Round Up to support our mission and respond to calls with excellent service. You may train new cashiers and help maintain a clean, organized sales floor.

The role requires willingness to work days, evenings, and weekends, with prior cash handling and retail experience preferred. High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Six months of cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise
• Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to further support our missions
• Respond to phone calls while offering world class customer service
• Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor
