Job summary

AC&T Co. Inc. is hiring for entry-level positions across its 17 stores in the region.

Responsibilities include serving customers, handling cash, stocking shelves, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety standards. Employees must follow all laws for alcohol, tobacco, lottery, and food service, and report incidents to the manager. Applicants should be at least 18, able to work weekends, and comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years old or have a work permit.
• Able to speak, read, understand and write English.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic for making change and reports.
• Able to check IDs when necessary and operate cash registers.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stock shelves.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper customer relations and service.
• Maintain store hours and follow procedures and policies.
• Maintain inventory control and safekeeping of store assets.
• Adhere to laws on alcohol, tobacco and lottery sales, and food service.
• Report emergencies and accidents to the store manager.
• Keep the store clean and well-merchandised as directed.
• Stand for long periods and work weekends/holidays when needed.
