Job summary

Bozeman Community Food Co-op Downtown is seeking part-time cashier/grocery staff. Work includes customer service, stocking, and cash handling with shifts Monday to Saturday; some mornings and evenings, with additional shifts expected in October. Salary is $20.00 per hour, with part-time hours at Co-op Downtown (Bozeman, MT 59715).

Responsibilities include serving customers, processing transactions, maintaining product freshness, and ensuring accurate price labeling and safe cash handling.

Qualifications

• Experience with customer service, retail sales or stocking.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs during shift, occasionally 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Customer service: acknowledge customers, answer questions, refer to leads when needed.
• Cashiering: ring up purchases, ensure accuracy, handle price discrepancies with leads.
• Receive groceries, stock shelves, and maintain rotation and labeling.
• Stocking, receiving and merchandising: ensure shelves and coolers are stocked and rotated; check deliveries and invoices.
