Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Cashier to provide friendly, accurate, and efficient service while creating a positive customer experience. This role processes transactions, assists customers, promotes company programs, and maintains a clean front end.

You’ll greet customers, handle cash and other payments, educate them about the RK Loyalty Program, RK Visa, and RK Plus Protection Plan, and support store operations with a team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Comfortable using POS systems and handling cash.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process cash, credit, debit, and other transactions accurately.
• Follow cash-handling, returns, exchanges, layaways, and price disputes procedures.
• Educate customers about the Rural King Loyalty Program, RK Visa, RK Plus Protection Plan.
• Respond to store calls with professional phone etiquette.
• Coordinate with loaders and associates to address customer needs.
• Reconcile registers and maintain accurate records.
• Deactivate EAS devices as needed and keep areas clean and stocked.
• Support cross-training and other store departments as needed.
• Use POS systems and office equipment as required.
