Responsibilities

• Greet customers and engage with them to assist in store needs
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane
• Understand and operate the POS system, handling cash, checks, credit/debit, and loyalty offers per policy
• Maintain awareness of cash limits, with honesty to control losses
• Adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
• Stay current with ads and promotions; comply with food safety and safety procedures
• Inspect equipment and notify management of any issues requiring repair
• Create a welcoming environment and answer product questions for customers
