Goodwill Omaha in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Full-Time Cashier at the Madison Store to provide friendly customer service and manage sales transactions. The role includes operating a POS system, handling cash, and ensuring accurate change, with a clean, organized selling floor.

Responsibilities also include stocking shelves, assisting customers, and maintaining a positive store environment. Prior cash handling or customer service experience is preferred, and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service for Goodwill customers.
• Assist customers with purchases and if authorized with pricing.
• Operate a computer-based point of sale system, handle cash and run a credit card machine while balancing a drawer.
• Use basic math skills to ensure correct change.
• Utilize suggestive selling techniques.
• Stock product on shelves and sales floor, keep area stocked during hours of operation.
• Attend to dressing rooms and return merchandise to sales floor.
• Assist with stocking, salvaging and custodial duties.
• Meet or exceed attendance expectations.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and positive work environment.
