Job summary

FirstBank PR is seeking a Service Representative (Teller) to process daily banking transactions and deliver personalized customer service in Puerto Rico. You will identify customer needs and refer products, assist with deposits, withdrawals, and other teller duties, while maintaining accuracy and security.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of experience in a sales or customer service environment.
• A minimum of 24 credits toward an associate or bachelor’s degree, or coursework related to banking.
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Fully bilingual preferable.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Experience working with cash registers, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes monetary transactions such as check changing, money orders, savings and checking withdrawals and deposits.
• Performs debit/credit entries through teller system or manually during contingency situations.
• Applies security measures and reports irregularities and suspicious transactions.
• Maintains cash balances and refers transactions when authorization is needed.
• Complies with relevant laws and regulations (BSA, AML, OFAC).
• Balances and closes end of day, dispatching transactions as scheduled.
• Completes forms (FINCEN 104, CTR) for cash and other transactions.
• Participates in sales activities and promotes banking products and services.
• Performs greeter duties when needed.
• Prepares daily transaction documents, counts cash, and files documents.
• Supports branch and Retail & Business Banking on special projects.
• Educates customers on alternative banking channels to reduce in-branch transactions.
