Qualifications

• Good judgment and ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to operate teller and office equipment (computers, calculators, telephones, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provides teller and savings/checking account services such as handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, greeting customers and maintaining accounts.
• Explores customer needs and cross-sells services that are in the best interest of the customer.
• Makes appropriate referrals to other departments. Provides superior service to customers.
• Conducts relationships and activities consistent with bank policies and applicable laws.
• Provide daily deposit services including deposits, withdrawals, holds, loan payments, cashier's checks, money orders, stop payments, transfers, and related matters.
• Maintain cash drawer within prescribed limits.
• Purchase from and sell money to vault as needed.
• Accurately count, receive and disburse cash.
• Verify and balance assigned cash drawer daily.
• Maintain cash over and short record.
• Assist in identifying cash offages.
• Maintain cash drawer variances within guidelines.
• Prepare forms for Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and gather necessary documentation.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues related to teller and customer service areas.
• Acquire and maintain understanding of security procedures; know post-robbery procedures.
• Maintain neat work area and secure all cash, records per policy.
• Provide exemplary customer service in person and by telephone; resolve difficult situations with tact.
• Take advantage of cross-selling opportunities for banking products and services.
• Participate in training and sales initiatives; refer to other business units as needed.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of all bank products and services; attend required training.
• Assist others in the department as needed; may be assigned vault/ATM balancing responsibilities.
