• Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery specials.
• Provide fresh products with correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend bakery items to customers to meet their needs.
• Use all bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) according to guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, mix ingredients and prepare with appropriate utensils.
• Prepare, label and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Use kitchen equipment safely (stove, scales, fryer, steamer, etc.).
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and knowledge of store layout.
• Stay current with ads and seasonal promotions.
• Maintain inventory awareness and note discrepancies.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
• Report all safety risks or illegal activity.
