Job summary

Mountain West Bank is seeking a Bank Teller to support our Sandpoint and Ponderay locations. This role emphasizes customer-first service, accurate cash handling, and compliance with banking policies during daily transactions.

The Teller will process deposits and withdrawals, balance cash drawer, and assist customers with inquiries while maintaining strong attention to detail and proper identification practices. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 months of prior customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent technology acuity & computer systems knowledge.
• Ability to efficiently use multiple computer programs and systems simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Receive deposits, verify cash and endorsements, issue receipts.
• Examine deposits and determine funds availability based on regulations.
• Process savings withdrawals and cash checks with proper IDs.
• Identify counterfeit currency and ensure accuracy of transactions.
• Cross-sell bank products and refer complex issues to appropriate departments.
• Balance drawer daily and maintain currency logs.
• Follow all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
